Frequently Asked Questions
How long is each session and what time does each cohort meet?
- Each session is 2 hours
- West Coast cohort meets every Tuesday from 5-7pm PST
- Midwest cohort meets every Wednesday from 5-7pm CST
- East Coast cohort meets every Thursday from 6-8pm EST
How many sessions can I miss?
The training is 8 weeks and to get the most of our experience, we strongly encourage all participants to participate 100%. We understand that life happens and we are still in the midst of a global pandemic - you can have 1 excused absence from the program. If you accrue 2+, you will be removed from the program.
Who should apply to the program?
The program is for young womxn ages 16-26 who are ready to run in the next 1-3 years. If you are over the age range, we will be prioritizing those within the age range.
I’m not sure if I want to run but there will be open seats in my district, should I apply?
Yes! The training will help you to identify your seat and support you in launching your campaign. Open seats will help you target your race and create a timeline for your campaign.
What does each cohort region mean?
We based our cohorts on time zones - a bit different than Fall 2020 where we did state based cohorts and a national cohort. This time, check your timezone - if you are in the Mountain timezone, you pick which day works best for you!
